Community Safety
Urban Family provides community safety support to schools, apartment complexes, local businesses, and neighborhoods experiencing increased acts of violence and community safety issues. Our mission is to restore a sense of safety by co-creating community safety for all residents.
Seattle Community Safety Initiative (SCSI) is a community-based network that works with law enforcement to improve safety in specific Seattle neighborhoods. Led by Urban Family, Community Passageways, and the Seattle YMCA, SCSI aims to reduce violence, rebuild community ties, and promote self-sufficiency.
Focused on youth and families impacted by violence, SCSI offers safety services, resource navigation, and support for schools, neighborhoods, and businesses through its Safety Hub Model in SE Seattle, the Central District, and West Seattle.
