At Urban Family, we believe that every individual deserves to feel safe, connected, and cared for. We are dedicated to transforming the lives of youth and families in King County by weaving a web of care and support that fosters resilience, empowerment, and community well-being.

YOUTH DEVELOPMENT

Our programs empower youth to succeed socially and emotionally by providing personalized mentorship, life coaching, and sports-based activities.

FAMILY SUPPORT

We wrap families in a web of care, offering essential resources and advocacy to build confidence and help them create stable and nurturing environments.

COMMUNITY SAFETY

Our community violence intervention specialists work tirelessly to create safer neighborhoods, providing critical incident response and safe passage for youth.

Our Impact

Youth We Served in 2024

Urban Family supported youth ages 7 to 17 across South Seattle and South King County through our culturally responsive programs, mentorship, and leadership development opportunities.

  • 256  youth participated in programs, workshops, and enrichment activities.

  • 559  group hours invested in mentorship and leadership development.

  • 48  youth experienced their first-ever field trips this year.

Supporting Families

In 2024, Urban Family advanced its commitment to families through our programs, community events, and strategic partnerships designed to strengthen neighborhoods. As our reach expands, we remain focused on fostering safer, more connected communities where families are equipped to thrive.

  • 1,586 families connected through community events and resource distribution.

  • 71.8% of the families we support live on a household income under $50,000.

  • 945  meals served, fueling our youth and families with care and connection.

Providing Safety Support

Urban Family served as a trusted partner in creating safer spaces across our community, offering safety support at critical moments and building community capacity.

  • 386 gun lockboxes distributed, encouraging families to keep our communities safe.

  • Provided safety and care at one funeral each quarter for families impacted by gun violence.

  • More than 100 hours of safety training offered to empower community members with de-escalation and protection skills.
